Check out the latest addition to our online portfolio section:
Francis Lemieux.Francis states: "The design and making of my work are completely integrated processes. While I am designing a new piece I am simultaneously building it in my mind. Many of my ideas and technical solutions come to me when I am in that semi-dream state between consciousness and sleep. I strive to produce work which is simply beautiful and enduring."

I'm constantly surprised by the new ideas that I want to explore. Where do these ideas come from? I really don't know, but it often seems as tho they come from somewhere outside of myself. Call for submissions-'Child Interactive'

Thank you to all who showed interest and enthusiasm for our one-of-a-kind charity auction and wooden toy exhibition, 'Child Interactive'. Unfortunately, due to a variety of factors, we have postponed this event until the Spring of 2009. But rest assured, we are not abandoning this project; we are hoping to host it in the Spring, which is undoubtedly a more favourable time for everyone involved. This way we can give 'Child Interactive' the best chance for success! For anyone who is planning to submit a toy between now and the Spring, we will be happy to accept it and have it stored until the show is up and running once more. Whether you choose to donate a hand made wooden toy now or in the future, please remember that all of the proceeds from 'Child Interactive' will be directly donated to a variety of children's charities from across British Columbia. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing how your creativity will warm the hearts of kids of all ages!

Colin Delory.Colin states: "What I like about wood turning is it gives me the opportunity to transform these local woods into unique works of art thereby recycled the wood and bringing new life to it. My segmented works open up even more opportunities to express myself by combining different woods to create interesting patterns to compliment my vessel shapes. Being a self taught woodturner I continue to explore new techniques to enhance and improve my work and have recently added metal spinning to my bag of tricks."
